Candle Care

Get the most out of your candle with these tips:

  • Wicks will be trimmed to the appropriate length when packaged, there is no need to trim your wick on the first burn.

  • Following your first burn, you will need to trim your wick to approx 4-5mm. This can be done using a wick trimmer, scissors, nail clippers or breaking off the charred section with your fingers. If there is is soot or black smoke coming from your flame once lit, then the wick is too long. Put out your candle, trim wick again and relight. Keeping the wick trimmed will ensure the quality and longevity of your candle.

  • On your first burn, allow the candle to melt as close to the edge of the jar as possible (do not exceed 4hrs). This will create a 'memory' in your candle and encourage an even burn down the rest of the jar.

  • Large crystals may move closer to the wick whist burning and extinguish your candle. We advise to remove larger crystals before burning. You may leave small crystals and chips whist burning, however closely monitor and do not allow to get too close to wick.

Safety:

  • Only use on a heat resistant surface.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not move candle whilst in use.
  • Keep candle dry and free from debris, including wick trimmings and matches.
  • Do not leave unattended.
  • Do not ingest.
  • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Take caution as outside of jar may become hot during use.
  • Stop burning once candle reaches approx. 1cm of wax left at base.
